Dr. Enrique G. Navarrete: Physician-Scientist Specializing in Stem Cells, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Neuroscience

After completing his medical studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas (UCIMED) in Costa Rica, Enrique went into clinical practice across a variety of settings and specialties. This included a year in the Costa Rican Social Security healthcare system (at Hospital Calderon Guardia, Hospital San Juan de Dios, Hospital Nacional de Niños, Instituto Materno Infantil Adolfo Carit), a year of social service in Nosara Beach, his family clinic in El Salvador, the National Children’s Hospital of El Salvador (Hospital Nacional de Niños Benjamin Bloom), SUNY Brooklyn, UC Davis, and Tulane.

Driven by his passion for science, Enrique then pursued postdoctoral research training in neuroscience at Yale, NIH, and other top-tier academic institutions. Recognizing the potential for improving healthcare, Enrique redirected his focus towards stem cell research and cardiovascular medicine, joining the lab of Joseph Wu at Stanford, current president of the American Heart Association. Over the past 15 years, Enrique has shared his expertise worldwide, consulting for the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology companies, regulatory agencies, academic institutions, and stem cell clinics. His high impact publications are a testament to his commitment to excellence in science and medicine.

Dr. Nicole Pek – Nicole, an accomplished stem cell biologist, brings nearly a decade of research experience to her work. She graduated with distinction from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, specializing in Life Sciences with an emphasis in Biomedical Sciences, and is currently an award-winning PhD Candidate at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, USA. She has received the prestigious Albert J. Ryan Fellowship as well as the American Heart Association Pre-doctoral Fellowship in recognition of her academic achievements.

Prior to commencing her doctoral journey, Nicole underwent rigorous scientific training at esteemed institutions such as the National University of Singapore, Agency of Science, Technology, and Research Singapore, Imperial College London, and Stanford University. At the forefront of her research lies the innovative use of human pluripotent stem cells and complex organoid models to dissect the nuances of human development and disease pathologies. Nicole’s scholarly pursuits particularly focuses on vascular biology, molecular biology, stem cell biology, and the intersection of regenerative and pediatric medicine. Beyond the confines of the laboratory, Nicole is an acclaimed Science communicator and advocate.  

Dr. Michell Torres – is a general doctor who graduated from the University of Baja California, where she contributed to various research projects in pharmacology and nutrition, focusing on acute liver damage protocols. Following graduation, she pursued a residency in psychiatry and was matched to the Autonomous University of Guanajuato. Currently, she is in her second year of residency in Mexico City.

Since being accepted, Michell has benefited from the training and expertise of multiple professionals from different institutions, including the National Institute of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neuroscience. She plans to complete her residency with a research project investigating the long-term use of benzodiazepines as a risk factor for minor neurocognitive disorder and the early onset of dementia symptoms. Michell is dedicated to her patients, ensuring they are comfortable and well-cared for.

Kaycee Malaika Lasola , BSN-RN, UK RN, US RN, MAN Major in Nursing Administration. Graduated cum laude from Saint Paul University Dumaguete, Philippines. Equipped with knowledge, professionalism, and 16 years of experience as a nurse in various fields. To name a few, Nurse Manager in a Geriatric and Dementia Unit, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Bronchoscopy and Interventional Pulmonology, Nurse Manager in Cardiothoracic Services, Charge Nurse in Perioperative Nursing Service, Stroke Rehab Centre, and Interventional Radiology. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cardiothoracic Nursing at London South Bank University. I have a strong advocacy for assisting every patient in maintaining independence in their activities of daily living and preserving their quality of life.
Jose Antonio Barba offers advanced translation services, including proficiency in medical terminology, to ensure clear and effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. Committed to exceptional customer service, he expertly manages essential logistics such as transportation, accommodations, and leisure activities, tailoring each aspect to his guests’ specific needs. His strong problem-solving skills are crucial in swiftly addressing and resolving any issues, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for patients. As a passionate advocate for the well-being of his guests, Jose Antonio Barba prioritizes their needs and preferences to ensure their stay and medical treatments proceed as comfortably and efficiently as possible.

Dr. David Regenerative Medicine

Dr. David, MD, embarked on his medical journey in Sweden before establishing himself as a licensed physician in the United States. His commitment to excellence led him to complete a year of internal medicine and a comprehensive five-year program in General Surgery, culminating in board certification in the latter field. Driven by a passion for advancing his skills, he further honed his expertise through a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. His dedication bore fruit as he achieved board certification in plastic surgery.

Eager to broaden his horizons, Dr. David pursued a second fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston’s Children’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School. This additional specialization equipped him with a deep understanding of intricate surgical techniques and enhanced his proficiency in addressing complex medical challenges.

Currently, Dr. David has shifted his focus to the burgeoning field of regenerative medicine in Cancun, Mexico. Armed with a wealth of experience, he spearheads a Regenerative Medical practice that integrates cutting-edge technologies such as stem cells and exosomes. His expertise is particularly directed towards addressing neurological diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Stroke, Parkinson’s, and other related conditions.

Distinguished graduate from the Marista University of Mérida, Dr. Mariana Braga has forged a robust career in the medical field. In her early years, she served as a general practitioner in second and third-level hospitals in Mexico, standing out for her proactivity, passion, and discipline in the practice of medicine. Currently, she has steered her path towards specializing in general surgery, and to achieve this, she eagerly continues her studies as a surgical assistant in a prominent medical corporation. This step not only reflects her dedication to professional growth but also her unwavering commitment to providing excellent medical care.

Dr Alam Barron (Specialist)

Doctor Alam Barrón comes from a family of regenerative doctors spanning 2 generations in La Paz Mexico. He and his family have practiced and served patients from throughout Mexico for the past 50 years. He is a 47-year-old seasoned medical professional, who holds a medical degree from the internationally recognized, School of Medicine at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 2001. His credentials include a professional identification, recognized by the Mexico Secretary of Health and equivalent to the US FDA, bearing the number #4009504. Authorized by COFEPRIS with a work license #2004, Alam specializes in the innovative field of Regenerative Medicine. He employs various medical techniques to stimulate the body, facilitating its ability to regenerate cells and rebuild tissues and organs. In the treatment of cancer, he employs electromedicine to specifically target microdoses of chemotherapy. 

Electrochemotherapy is a way of getting chemotherapy into cancer cells. It is a combination of: chemotherapy injected into the bloodstream. an electric pulse to send the chemotherapy into the cancer cells (called electroporation) A special probe sends an electric pulse to the cancer cells. The electric pulse changes the outer layer of the cancer cell. This makes it easier for the chemotherapy to get inside the cell and kill it.

He utilizes live mesenchymal stem cells as part of his regenerative process. In addition, Alam excels in protocols aimed at enhancing the immune system and facilitating tissue regeneration.  His certifications in intravenous, rectal, and oral chelation metabolic therapy for heavy metal removal and heart disease date back to 2004. Dr. Alam’s healthcare approach is holistic, encompassing the treatment of various chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, neurological diseases, diabetes, lupus, leukemia, and many more.
